Major progresses have been achieved in clinical neurology which translated in innovations in clinical practice. The subspecialty of movement disorders has witnessed huge progresses and has evolved rapidly, from the discovery of the gene responsible for huntington's disease (first direct application of positional cloning) to the use of the cerebral pacemakers for the treatment of tremor and parkinson's disease (first large-scale use of deep brain stimulation). The health professionals taking care of people with movement disorders need to keep up with the continuous development of diagnostic and management tools. This the 12th edition of a course designed to provide an updated and advanced training to: a) health professionals involved in the care of people with movement disorders; b) residents, phd students, clinical fellows who are approaching the vast chapter of movement disorders
